The Background: Sometime in the mid-aughts (2005ish) Matt wrote, recorded, produced, and edited the sweeping Sunlight In Your Eyes. It is our hope that you will help us put together a TOP SECRET supercut of this lost classic.

The Ask:
- Take a listen to the incomparable original (below).
- Listen again to truly understand the nuances.
- Next, if you haven’t already felt an unyielding compulsion to do so, study the lyrics (also below).

Once you’ve mastered all of that, you’ve got a couple options:

A) You can listen/download the file called Sunlight In Your Eyes (No Vocal), print off the lyric sheet, and record yourself belting out the tune!

B) There is a short karaoke style video featuring a few verses and the chorus, feel free to watch that and sing along as well.

For either option it would be ideal if you could listen to the No Vocal/Karaoke track in some headphones and then record your video/audio via another device so that the file you send is your vocal/video.

Some things to note:

• We recognize submitting a raw vocal track can be nerve-wracking! Please know this is all in good fun! There is absolutely 0 judgment on voice/vocal capability. If you’re not feeling up for singing, or submitting a big part, even just a few lines of “Whoas” on the chorus would be great! Feel free to sing as little (or as much) as you want!

• It bears repeating - it would be great to have as little background noise as possible in your vocals. Two devices (one playing the backing track/karaoke via headphones, the other recording bonus points if you use a mic) is best. The plan is to edit all these raw vocal tracks into the supercut!
